Village Hall Development

Southoe Village Hall has been awarded a generous grant to kick off the first phase of a modernisation project.
This funding will the Village Hall Committee to begin commissioning improvements that will transform the hall into a more vibrant, accessible, and functional space for all hires, community events and activities.
The modernisation project will be phased, with Phase One focusing on priority upgrades including improvements to the interior:

A disabled toilet will be added along with other accessibility features making the hall more inviting to a wider range of users

A baby changing table is to be installed which will improve safety and comfort for the very youngest of visitors and their parents

The kitchen is to be modernised and renovated making it more functional and attractive
More phases of work and improvements are planned and it will be great to receive any feedback and comments as the upgrades take place.

The current prices for the hire of the Hall are as follows:-
Residents of Southoe £6.00 per hour
Non-residents £15.00 per hour
More information
Southoe Village Hall, which was built in 1979 following much fund raising by local people, is currently run by a Village Hall Committee. It can accommodate up to about 50 people (seated) and has full kitchen facilities and toilets, as well as a Public Entertainments Licence for the public performance of music and dance.
There is a children’s play area to the rear of the Village Hall, with play equipment for various age groups, as well as a general grassed area for use for sports, barbecues etc. There is a car park to the front of the hall.
Special rates can be negotiated for multiple or long-term bookings.
The Hall is an ideal venue for Children’s or Family Parties as well as meetings, receptions etc.
