The Southoe and Midloe Community Hub Group

I've lived in the village since 2012. I have been a member of the Parish Council, Treasurer of the Village Hall Management Committee, and organised various village events including the brick race and plant sale. Having moved here from Cambridge I love the rural nature of Southoe (reminding me of my years growing up in North Yorkshire), the sense of fun and community whilst also being close to a great swim spot at Paxton Pits.

Originally a maths teacher, I've worked in a range of contexts with young people, led Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions and international volunteering trips to Uganda, Kenya and the States. I've always been a keen independent traveller, having done my first independent travel across France at 12 years old. I'm often spotted on the village WhatsAp group fundraising through some activity.

I'm thrilled to be involved in making this community space for everyone to use. The Community Hub will be an invaluable asset to us all.
