Cat Owners
New Legislation

Most people are aware that dogs should be micro-chipped for identification purposes, but from 10 June 2024, cats in England will also need to be microchipped and registered on a database by the time they’re 20 weeks old.

There will be a 21 day grace period to allow you to have your furry friend chipped and registered, but after that you can be fined up to £500 if your cat (or dog) is not microchipped when they need to be.
