Following a "Call For Sites" from Hunts DC, plots of land that may be suitable for development (residential, commercial, infrastructure or open space) were submitted by land owners for review. Following the initial review against specified criteria, some Sites have moved through to the next stage of consideration and the public is being given the opportunity to provide feedback and comments on the proposals.

Southoe & Midloe Annual Parish Meeting/ Assembly at 7.30pm on Wednesday 2 April 2025 at the Nave of St. Leonards ( The Hub )

The Annual Parish Meeting is an opportunity for Southoe and Midloe residents or business holders in the parish to raise any matters of concern relating to our local community. This year yet again we are asking for the written reports due to the circumstances under which this meeting will be taking place. NOTICE OF ELECTION

Huntingdonshire District Council

Election of a Parish Councillor for the Parish listed below

Parish: Southoe and Midloe

Number of Parish Councillor to be elected: One

 

1. Forms of nomination for the Parish Election may be obtained from Clerk to Parish Council or Pathfinder House, St Mary`s Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3TN from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.

 

2. Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to:

the Returning Officer, Pathfinder House, St

Mary`s Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3TN on any day from the date of this notice but no later than 4 pm on Friday, 17th January 2025.

 

3. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 13th February 2025.

 

4. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 28 January 2025. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

 

5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Pathfinder House, St Mary`s Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3TN by 5 pm on Wednesday, 29th January 2025.

 

6. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 5 February 2025. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate

 

7. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Pathfinder House, St Mary`s Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3TN by 5 pm on Wednesday, 5th February 2025.

 

8. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Pathfinder House, St Mary`s Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3TN by 5 pm on Thursday, 13th February 2025. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5 pm on Wednesday, 5th February 2025. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5 pm on Wednesday, 5th February 2025

Notice of Vacancy in office of Parish Councillor on the SOUTHOE and MIDLOE Parish Council

Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that due to resignation of Councillor John Taylor there is a vacancy on the Southoe & Midloe Parish Council.

If, within 14 statutory days after the date of this notice, a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to the Proper Officer, Huntingdonshire District Council, Pathfinder House, Huntingdon PE29 3TN by ten electors of the Parish an election will be held. If no such notice is given the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.


If any member of the Parish would like to be considered for co-option, please contact the Parish Clerk.
