Parish, District and County Councils

The parish council is a civil local authority and is the lowest, or first, tier of local government. Councillors are elected, have variable tax raising powers (for the precept), and are responsible for certain aspects within the parish.

Southoe and Midloe Parish council

The parish council is an elected group and can help on issues such as;
play areas
play equipment
reporting faults with public streetlights

The parish council can issue
fixed penalty notices for things like:
litter
dog offences
graffiti

Huntingdon District Council

HDC are responsible for:

rubbish collection

council tax collection

planning applications

recyciling

house

the Local Plan 2036
